Envirovalve | Frequently Asked Questions
How far can the control panel be set from the valve?
The valve can be placed up to 50 metres away from the bladder enabling the valve to be siuatied in risk areas with all the controls well outside the area.
What is the bladder made from?
The outer skin of the bladder is nylon impregnated with polythene for most applications. However the bladder material can be varied dependent on application and what product is likely to be spilt. It is helpful for us the have COSHH sheets on the product. Bladders over 375mm (15") are made from neoprene.
What are the operating pressures?
The system operates on a maximum of 2 bar, reducing for larger bladders.
How long will the bladder stay inflated?
The bladder will stay inflated for a minimum of 48 hours giving plenty of time for clean up services to arrive and empty the drainage system or put other devices in place. Darcy Spillcare Manufacture can provide a full spill clean up response service as well as absorbents to clean up the spill.
How long does it take to inflate?
The smaller bladders take a few seconds, the large bladders over 500mm (20") take up to approx 40 seconds. These have to be operated with electronic control in order to allow our unique fast fill system to operate.
